Episode 8:

Director Zhao, Director Tang and Director Xu only finds out that Xin Ping has been moved over to the intensive care unit before the President's arrival to visit his daughter. Everybody is worried and did not know how to go about explaining the situation to the President. The President is extremely worried after stepping into the intensive care unit. Fortunately, Xin Ping is able to ease his mind and worry. Everyone promises that nothing will happen to Xin Ping while trying to urge the President to leave the hospital. They did not want to meet up with the reporters again. The President thanks everyone for their concern and care and sends his regards to the family members of the patients that are living within the hospital. Immediately afterwards, the 3 directors requested to see Qiu Qing Cheng to get an explanation. Directors Tang and Xu get into an argument again. Director Zhao threatens that if anything happens to Xin Ping, then they will both have no hopes of getting the position as Director of the hospital!

During the regular meeting in the Surgical Department, the whole atmosphere of the meeting is different due to Tang's mood. Even though Su Yi Hua is perfectly aware of the situation, he still speaks up against Tang. Tang Guo Tai's temper flares and after he gives a ruthless speech, he leaves the room in anger. In that instance, the entire room starts talking all at once but no one dares to talk to Su Yi Hua.

Tang Guo Tai takes his anger out on Qiu Qing Cheng and then he gets the bad news from Lai Cheng Xu which said that his "talk" with Guan Xin did not go as planned. Clenching his teeth tightly, Tang knows that he now must have Director Huang on his side. He tells Lai Cheng Xu to make sure that Guan Xin remains silent, unless she ruins their "plans."

Guan Xin continues to receive pressure from the hospital and as a result, she decides to go and consult a lawyer. After Lawyer Hong Bo Yan looks through the materials and questioned her on all the details, he evaluated that at this time, there are no grounds for them to bring a suit against Guan Xin. Even if they go through with an autopsy, Guan Xin still believes that there would be nothing to prove that she made a mistake.

Nian Wei is in the process of discussing with his followers on how to fight against the hospital when he meets up with Guan Hua and the two guys that she brings along with her. The two parties immediately get into a conflict and Guan Hua's side was beaten up badly!

Episode 9:

In the Surgical Department, Yi Hua is almost completed isolated by everyone. Everyone that sees him would find an excuse to run away. Only Wen Li would accompany him to check on the patients and give them medicine. Because of this incident, Wen Li yells at Xiao Gang for being a coward. Later, even Chen Kuan goes to apologize to Yi Hua. They both understand the way Yi Hua works and his reasons but they also have their own difficulties. Yi Hua understands and forgives them. It's not that he doesn't understand "the way of life" within the hospital. Now that it has come to this, in his heart, he understands what is going on.

Yi Hua goes to find Guan Xin. He finds out that Director Lai rejected the medicine reports and refused to sign it because Guan Xin "did not cooperate." Yi Hua agrees with Guan Xin's decision to ask Hui Ying's family for permission to have an autopsy done but he is also worried about her safety. Actually, at the same time that he is coming to look for Guan Xin, Guan Xin is also thinking of going to look for him. They both arrange to meet up together after work.

Tang Guo Tai takes Qiu Qing Cheng and a bunch of others to the intensive care unit to examine Xin Ping. Xin Ping suddenly mentions Yi Hua's name and Tang tries to change the subject. A lot of people are lined up around the hospital's lobby to pick up their medicine. Huang Kai Yuan strides pass when suddenly Nian Wei splashes a pail filled with red dye at him causing his white doctor's gown to turn completely red. This entire incident is being photographed by a far away camera. At the same time, in the Anesthesia Department, Guan Xin receives an email filled with Zhu Hui Ying's pictures. Ya Hui is helping Guan Xin open up a package that she received when the package explodes and the entire office is covered in a white powder which turns out to be flour.

When Director Huang is discussing with Secretary Yang about Nian Wei's motive and countermeasures for dealing with the situation, Guan Xin bursts right into the room. Seeing the state that the Director is in, she starts to tell them about what happened in her apartment and the letter and package that she just received. This indicates that what the patient's family members want is not just something that Guan Xin can take responsibility of anymore. She hopes to be able to have an autopsy done and get the facts straight. Director Huang still shakes his head.

Qing Cheng and Guan Xin are in a discussion and unavoidably they mention Su Yi Hua's problem again. Qing Cheng supports Guan Xin's proposal for an autopsy, because this would be fair to her but Yi Hua's situation is not as optimistic. Because no matter how the situation will develop into, Yi Hua has become a scapegoat and he has no chance of reversing the verdict. Guan Xin asks him to take care of Xin Ping and they both encourage each other.

Chang Yi Ru is getting extremely excited over Yi Fen's videotape of "The fire of revenge dyes the white gown blood red." She wants Yi Fen to immediately continue to pursue the entire story so that they can make this into an exclusive story and attract a large audience. Once this matter is complete, then the position of top news anchor will be no one else's but Yi Fen's.

In the surgical department, a plan is being carried out so that it would make it difficult for Su Yi Hua to work: when the hospital room is filled with patients in the surgical ward, Qiu Qing Cheng announces to everyone that they can start requesting for leave of absences. As a result, on a certain day, Yi Hua has an operation scheduled. Nothing can be done for other surgeries that are being delayed. Unfortunately a couple who got injured in a car accident, the husband, Zhang Jian's condition, sudden worsens. He must be operated on immediately. Yi Hua has no other choice but to say to Mei Xing "there is no one in the surgical department that can perform this operation." He promises to do everything he can to make this operation a success. Unfortunately, there really isn't anyone around who can help Yi Hua. With no other plans, Yi Hua writes out a list of names for Wen Li. He wants her to help him make some phone calls and hopes to be able to find some help.

Yi Hua is worrying about Wen Li's progress with finding help. However, all the other people are stranded at Director Zhao's farewell party and couldn't leave. Tang Guo Tai and Qiu Qing Cheng's gaze are everywhere along with the silent battle raging between them and Xu Da Ming. This whole situation causes Yi Hua to feel dejected. If this continues on, he is afraid that one day he will be just like these people…

Episode 10:

Ma Yi Fen discovers the whole cause and effect on the red dye incident. She even finds out about the time when Guan Hua called on two guys to fight against Nian Wei and the fact that she has been arrested for using drugs. She feels that this is all connected with the anesthetist, Guan Xin. Chang Yi Ru wants Yi Fen to take this "suspicion," and make and create a big news article out of it.

Secretary Yang goes to Deng Nian Wei to attempt to explain the $8 million dollar compensation matter. However, all she gets out of it is lots of cussing from Nian Wei's followers. They think that the hospital is trying to settle this matter by throwing money at them and both parties part on bad terms.

Guan Xin pays a visit to the Zhu family. She attempts to convince them to agree to an autopsy so that they can find the cause of Hui Ying's death. Mother Zhu refuses and is filled with hostility towards Guan Xin. As a result, Guan Xin reveals that her apartment was broken into and that she received a flour bomb package. Mother Zhu doesn't know anything about this and can't imagine how matters have developed into this stage. Before leaving, Guan Xin asks them to reconsider getting an autopsy performed.

Guan Xin returns to the hospital. On the big television screen, the news is being broadcasted: It starts with Nian Wei carrying a coffin and protesting. Followed by Guan Hua accused of taking drugs and is a suspect for instigating harm to others. Everything is left to the audiences' imagination. Moreover, the picture on the screen is happening in a corner of the hospital. Guan Xin turns around and catches the attention of Ma Yi Fen. Yi Fen immediately runs forward and wants Guan Xin to explain her relationship with Guan Hua and her drug intake. Guan Xin coldly faces the camera and says that it is the police's work with regards to Guan Hua being a suspect of taking drugs. She refuses to say anything more and has a confrontation with Yi Fen. Without another word, Guan Xin leaves the hospital with the excuse that she needs to take care of some family matters.

Guan Xin goes to the police station and wants to bail Guan Hua out. She finds out that Guan Hua really did instigate to bring harm to others. Fortunately, Lawyer Hong finds out about the incident from the television and immediately comes to the station to discuss the conditions of Guan Hua's bail. However, the officer insists on taking down Guan Xin's notes first.

At the nursing station, family members are requesting for medicine. The nurse stalls them by saying that they must wait for Doctor Su. Wen Li promptly expresses that she will go and get the medicine and reprimands the young nurse at the same time. Later, when they are scheduling the work shifts, each nurse said that they have something important to do and must request vacation time. Even though Wen Li is angry, yet there is nothing she can do. At the same time, Xiao Gang sends her a box of cream puffs. Wen Li becomes even angrier after that. She didn't even touch the box of cream puffs and walks away.

In the Surgical Department, not only are the doctors but even the nurses are boycotting Yi Hua. Director Tang leads a bunch of surgeons to inspect the patients, and in front of the other doctors and family members, he criticizes Yi Hua for delaying the operation schedules. She wants Guan Hua to take a look at herself and they both get into an argument. Dinner will just have to take place at another time.

When they get home, Guan Xin immediately questions why Guan Hua went to provoke Deng Nian Wei. Guan Hua thought that she was protecting her younger sister but Guan Xin asks her not to help out anymore. Guan Hua’s good intentions make it even harder for Guan Xin. Guan Hua lost her temper and runs into her room and didn't say anything else.

Soon after, Yi Hua rings their doorbell. He comes to take Guan Xin to dinner. Guan Xin goes to her room to change and Yi Hua notices the glass fragments that Guan Xin left behind in her hurry to clean up. In his heart, he is aware of what had happened earlier between the two sisters.

They step out into the crowded streets. Yi Hua is trying to think of what to eat when Guan Xin suddenly throws her arms around him from behind and starts to cry. He silently holds on to Guan Xin's hand and Guan Xin finally opens up her heart and cry.

At the nurses’ station, Yi Hua wants a nurse to help him find a medical record. The nurse makes up an excuse and leaves so Wen Li helps Yi Hua out. At this time, the emergency light from Zhang Jian's room lights up. Wen Li orders the nurses to wait and tells them no one is allowed to leave.

Ming Zhu stalls by saying that everyone is busy. As a result, Yi Hua starts to get things ready with his own hands and Ming Zhu becomes flustered when she sees this. Lai Cheng Xu happens by at this time and watches from the door. Yi Hua asks him for his help and Cheng Xu says that if Yi Hua can find another doctor to help with the operation, then he will help the patient with the anesthesia…

The situation becomes critical and even Qing Cheng, who is operating next door comes over to show his concern. He can't help because he has another operation waiting for him. Seeing how things have come to this, Yi Hua doesn't care what he has said before and is about to rush off to find Director Tang to apologize. Xin Ping sits in a wheelchair wearing a hat and a surgical mask. Yi Hua is secretly pushing her towards the pediatric ward to visit baby Zhang You. Through the cubicle, Xin Ping lightly touches the baby's hand and gives each other encouragement to get well soon. Xiao You You opens her eyes and looks at Xin Ping. The strength of life transmits between them.

Mother Zhu is watching the news that Ma Yi Fen is reporting on Zhu Hui Ying's incident. Guan Xin's plea for her to think about agreeing to an autopsy keeps on repeating in her mind. Qing Cheng returns home and Mei Qian reminds him again about Xiao Min's birthday. She sees that not only does Qing Cheng need to take care of the patients, but he has to also take care of all the other personnel disputes, then maybe he should just leave and open up his own clinic. Ming Zhu pulls Tang Guo Tai towards the operating room. Guan Xin blocks them at the entrance but Tang pushes her aside. Qing Cheng and Yi Hua hear the commotion from inside but they still did not stop what they were doing. Tang Guo Tai sees the situation and roars loudly. Qing Cheng calmly reports the progress of the operation and just continues on with the surgery as if nothing is happening. Tang is furious. A pair of leather shoes flies over the surgery table and breaks the X-ray box. Qing Cheng covers Xin Ping with the aseptic cover and he confronts Tang. Ming Zhu and the rest of the nursing staff pull Tang from the room. Coincidentally, Director Wang is right outside the doorway and he takes in Tang's awkward appearance.

Inside the Director's office, Director Wang questions everyone on Xin Ping's condition. Director Zhao pushes the responsibility towards Tang Guo Tai and Tang immediately points the blame at Qing Cheng and Yi Hua. Qiu Qing Cheng truthfully admits that he is the surgeon in the original operation and that it is also his decision to remove the Port-A-Cath. Because the situation was extremely urgent, that's why he didn't have a chance to inform Tang Guo Tai first. Tang takes advantage of the opportunity and pulls Xu Da Ming into this. He says that it is Xu's team that is causing all these problems. The two directors start arguing again and Director Zhao loudly interrupts them. From the side, Director Wang sees that the internal conflict in the hospital is actually making the patients suffer. How is he supposed to explain this to the President?

Episode 12:

Guan Xin accompanies Mother Zhu to the kindergarten that Hui Ying went to. Mother Zhu says that Hui Ying was a very understanding kid and took care of her little sister. This causes Guan Xin to remember that her eldest sister used to take care of her in the same way too. Yet when her eldest sister passed away from illness, there was nothing Guan Xin can do even though she was a resident doctor at the time. Afterwards, they are strolling along the streets and Mother Zhu takes Guan Xin to look at the dress that she wants to buy for Hui Ying. She even asks Hui Ying to try it on for her. Seeing Guan Xin in the dress, Mother Zhu immediately thought that she was Hui Ying. She holds onto Guan Xin tightly and starts to cry.

After spending this day together, Mother Zhu starts to understand Guan Xin. She finally thinks it through and feel that she should let go and let Hui Ying move on. At the moment when Mother Zhu signs the consent form for an autopsy, they were both feeling at ease and relaxed.

After finding out that Zhu Hui Ying's family has agreed to an autopsy, Hong Bo Yan goes to the Anesthesia Department's office to look for Guan Xin. He expresses that since the outcome of the autopsy will be an advantage to Guan Xin, then she would not need to get a lawyer. However, he can still provide assistance whenever it is needed because she is "rather special." Guan Xin feels that Hong likes her. Fortunately, Yi Hua appears right at that moment and Bo Yan is forced to ask Guan Xin out for coffee on another day. He sees Yi Hua and feels that Yi Hua and Guan Xin's relationship is not ordinary and in Bo Yan's heart, his animosity rises.

He also hints that she will be able to get through this matter smoothly. However, at this moment, she is stressing over certain memories and it is producing many confusing thoughts for her. It seems as if the old man is able to accurately point out exactly what is going through Guan Xin's mind. After saying what he has to say, the old man closes his eyes to rest and did not respond to them again.

Qiu Qing Cheng is in the process of taking care of Zhang You, whose condition has worsened when Tang Guo Tai asks to meet with him. Director Tang angrily blames Qiu for acting independently. Qing Cheng emphasizes that he was just putting the patient's safety and welfare first. If anything happens, then he will take full responsibility. Guan Xin and Yi Hua are walking side by side and unconsciously, walks right pass the bus stop. They sit and quietly wait for the bus and bring up the past memories when they both take each other home on the Number 32 bus. Yi Hua doesn't want to forget the happy, youthful times and wants to start over with Guan Xin. They both kiss but in Guan Xin's heart, she painfully wants to forget another man - Zhuang Ming Zhe.

Xin Ping's condition suddenly becomes urgent. Qiu Qing Cheng is in the process of giving her emergency treatment. There is a call from the house. It is his daughter, Xiao Min's birthday and they are asking him to go home. At this moment, Director Wang anxiously rushes into the intensive care unit because the President will be returning to the country tomorrow. After Qiu's hasty and simple explanation, he asks Director Wang to leave the room and start to insert a tube into Xin Ping. Just then Ma Yi Fen calls and says that she has an "urgent matter." It turns out that she has been promoted to being the primary news anchor and she wants Qing Cheng to give her the inside story on Xin Ping's condition. Episode 13:

Xiao Gang brings some beverages to the nursing station for everyone. Xiao Gang finds out that he will have to leave the hospital immediately. He is being transferred over to Taitung. When Su Yi Hua finds out about this, he wanted to go and talk with Director Tang about it. Yet Xiao Gang stops him just in time. Yi Hua blames himself for causing Xiao Gang to be transferred but Xiao Gang uses an optimistic attitude to put Yi Hua at ease.

Guan Xin's attitude towards Yi Hua has changed. Their hug and kiss from yesterday seems like it has never happened before. They get into an argument in the hospital. Yi Hua doesn't understand why Guan Xin has changed so and Guan Xin tells him about the time when she has betrayed Yi Hua.

At the hospital, Guan Hua is telling the nurse about the difference between herself and Guan Xin. Guan Xin questions Guan Hua about her presence at the hospital. Guan Hua says that she has a surprise for Guan Xin. It turns out that Guan Hua bought a small refrigerator for Guan Xin but Guan Xin thinks that Guan Hua is just randomly spending money. Guan Hua expresses that Guan Xin never accepts her care and she is very disappointed.

Qing Cheng explains the baby's condition to Mei Xing. Depressed, Ming Xing asks the nurse to let her feed the baby and hopes that Zhang Jian would be able to get a chance to see his child. She strolls to the newborn babies’ ward and sees all the happy parents and family members inside looking at the healthy little babies. Seeing this makes her even sadder and she quietly leaves.

Qing Cheng brings the gift that he has for Xiao Min home. Mei Qian starts to feel suspicious that Qing Cheng didn't know what kind of gift the reporter, Ma Yi Fen has bought…
