Episode 14:
Mei Qian did not understand why Qing Cheng would ask someone to send a bicycle for Xiao Min. She feels that at the present time, with Xiao Min's condition, she is not suited to ride a bicycle. Mei Qian questions Qing Cheng and Ma Yi Fen's relationship. Qing Cheng expresses that it was not his idea to send a bicycle. It is the reporter who wants an exclusive story and wants to get to his good side through Xiao Min.
Qing Cheng angrily calls Yi Fen and tells her not to get involved with his family life. Yi Fen doesn't understand why Qing Cheng would get so angry over a bicycle that she sent. Qing Cheng explains about Xiao Min's learning condition and Yi Fen expresses her regrets.
Everyone plans a farewell party for Xiao Gang and hopes that he will be happy at his new job. At the farewell party, Xiao Gang hopes that before he leaves, Wen Li can be his girlfriend for one day so that he can leave with a happy memory. Wen Li agrees in order to thank Xiao Gang for the way he has treated her for the past 2 years. On the other hand, Chen Kuan buys Director Tang's favorite goose meat and vegetable dish for him. He hopes that his own promotion will go smoothly.
At Xiao Gang's farewell party, Su Yi Hua gets really drunk because he keeps on thinking about the matter between him and Guan Xin. Wen Li takes him home after the party and Yi Hua pours out his heart to her. He keeps on talking and talking and takes Wen Li to be Guan Xin…
Guan Xin suddenly gets a call from the emergency room and says that there is a patient who is claiming to be her friend. Guan Xin rushes over and it turns out to be Hong Wei who is hurt. Hong Wei attempts to strike up a conversation with Guan Xin but Guan Xin treats him with a cold attitude. This causes Hong Wei to want to get to understand Guan Xin even more.
Originally Qiu Qing Cheng is supposed to accompany his wife to take Xiao Min to school but unfortunately, baby Zhang You's condition worsens. He rushes off to the hospital to try to save this young life. Later, Qing Cheng explains the baby's present condition to Mei Xing and wants Mei Xing to be prepared for the worse.

Zhu Hui Ying's autopsy is about to start. Guan Xin and the others put on their gowns and are ready to begin. Professor Zhou carefully examines Hui Ying's remains and discovers that her heart is three times its original size. It is determined that there was a blood clot in her pulmonary artery which led to the expansion of the right ventricle of Hui Ying's heart. Huang Kai Yuan's expression becomes very serious. Outside, Mother Zhu insists on waiting for the results and so Hui Ting and Nian Wei waits with her.
The Zhu family decides to sue. Guan Xin decides to stand by Director Huang and asks the Zhu family to also name her as a defendant. Seeing how Guan Xin is filled with justice and loyalty and disregarding her own future, Director Wang's feelings are very confused.
Yi Hua goes to the office to look for Guan Xin. He finds out that the results of the autopsy are advantageous to her but Guan Xin still decides to become a defendant. Yi Hua understands why Guan Xin is doing this and he expresses that if anything happens and Guan Xin must leave the hospital, then he would leave with her also. Guan Xin finally meets someone who supports her and understands her and is so touched that she starts crying.
Xiao Gang and Wen Li had a happy day together. Returning to the hospital, Wen Li has to work the night shift. Xiao Gang's words to her causes Wen Li's heart to be filled with emotions. She gives Xiao Gang a light kiss on the cheek and promises that when she has the time, she will go and visit him. Xiao Gang stands at the spot and waves at her, enjoying this happy moment. In the hospital, Wen Li is looking at the life-size bear - his gift, a feeling of happiness spreads throughout her body.
Zhang Jian requests to see his child. Mei Xing tells him about their baby's condition. Zhang Jian sadly hopes to be able to see his child. Mei Xing asks Su Yi Hua if he will be able to help them achieve this wish. In the intensive care unit, Qiu Qing Cheng informs them that their child's situation is critical but is not suitable for emergency treatment. In order to keep their child from suffering more pain, Zhang Jian decides to give up the emergency treatment and let his child die naturally. Zhang Jian and Mei Xing can finally hold their child.
An exhausted Qing Cheng returns home and hugging Xiao Min, he falls asleep. When he wakes up, Xiao Min is gone. Qing Cheng goes outside to look for her and finds her riding the bicycle. The feelings in him surges up and he tightly hugs Xiao Min…

Liu Xin Ping's condition gradually stabilizes. Director Tang is not happy that the Internal Medicine's Director Xu interfered in this matter. Director Tang also marked a misconduct on each of Qiu Qing Cheng and Su Yi Hua's records because they failed to follow the right administrative procedure with Liu Xin Ping's case. Chen Kuan said that his father invited a couple of seniors from the medical world to have dinner at their home and he hopes that Yi Hua would be able to come and meet everyone.
Chen Kuan tells Yi Hua that Tang Guo Tai has approved his new research. In addition, the laboratory and research funds have been transferred over to Chen Kuan but he has rejected it. Yi Hua believes that Chen Kuan doesn't have to do that. Guan Hua comes to the hospital to look for Guan Xin. Coming out of the operating room, Guan Xin sees Guan Hua smoking in the hospital and is extremely unhappy. Later Guan Hua buys a cake for Guan Xin and thanks Guan Xin for taking her in.
Tang Guo Tai tells Qiu Qing Cheng that he is showing him some mercy for just marking him a misconduct in his record as punishment. He wants Qing Cheng to stay away from Su Yi Hua and uses the promotion of becoming the Director of the Surgical Department to threaten Qing Cheng. Qing Cheng understands that in this hospital, each person must find his own way out; otherwise, it would be difficult for him to survive.
Deng Nian Wei takes the hospital's conciliatory letter to Mother Zhu and hopes that she will sign it. This way they can both divide the $8 million dollars equally. Mother Zhu feels that what she wants is not money but an apology. Nian Wei gets into an argument with Mother Zhu over the compensation matter. Later Deng Nian Wei returns to the Zhu home really drunk. Hui Ting angrily questions Nian Wei. In his drunken state, Nian Wei tells Hui Ting about his plans with Hui Ying for their future and the regret that he feels about losing Hui Ying.
Mother Zhu goes to the hospital to look for Director Huang and tells him that money is not something that will be able to solve the incident with regards to her daughter. Director Huang shows his sincerity but doesn't understand why Mother Zhu and Nian Wei have different opinions and requests, making this really hard for him. After a long talk between them, Director Huang expresses his apologies. Mother Zhu donates the $4 million dollars that the hospital gives her as compensation. Mother Zhu also goes to Guan Xin to thank her for her help.
Guan Xin goes to express her regrets to Director Huang over the Zhu Hui Ying incident. Director Huang expresses that it was something that is to be expected but he is actually very grateful towards Guan Xin. Because of this incident, it gives him the courage to face the fact that he is getting old and that it is time for him to retire…
