1. Ever since Jerry's Fu Long concert expired, he used his STARJERRY team to handle his on -going projects as a transitory staff.
2. Jerry had once joked in a Tao Zi TV show that he admired Chen Jia Ying's competence as a manager and wished to become a part of Chen Jia Ying's stable of stars, thus becoming a Faye Wong's "Shi Di" (young brother protegee). But because he was already under contract then, this dream had not been realized.
3. Taking cue from his friend Lin Jian Yue, he thought that his own STARJERRY is still not enough so he decided to look for a Hong-Kong -based manager who would handle his Hong Kong and Mainland projects. He found it in Cheng Ji a Ying, who only had Faye Wong, Eason Chan and Lui Fang, among her stable. With wide connections in Korea, Hong Kong, Japan and Taiwan, plus the fact that Faye Wong decided to lie-low after her marriage and pregnancy, Jerry thought that Chen Jia Ying could handle his career better as she has now plenty of time to do so.
4. Inital talks between Jerry's acting manager Mia and Chen Jia Ying was done in January and decided to offcially announce his joining to Chen Jia Ying's ward on February 18, the date when Jerry would come to HK for the March F4 Concert press conference.
5. Upon confirmation, Mia admitted to reporters that its true that they are talking to many people, including Chen Jia Ying, but until now, no final decisions are made. Some reporters tried to contact Chen Jia Ying, but wasnt able to have her side. However, Ming Pao yesterday was able to ask her but all Cheng Jia Ying said was that she is busy with Eason Chan's concert and her health is not good so she declined to talk to others.
