port a catheter insertion isnt a new nor an old procedure. i think it was clever to make Dr. Su an expert at such a procedure. coz he is at the perfect age to be an expert at it. Thanks to Yana again... i found out he published a paper on it with 1000 subjects. wow.... these procedures though they say its easy... but it really isnt as it is a vascular surgery and these require good skills and training. The forte of Dr Tang's generation is on general surgery... like exploratory laparotomy (like the first case he handled). Dr Qui's generation are probably into biliary procedures i.e. whipples procedure (attaching intestines with other organs like the stomach).... and dr su's generation are more into detailed procedures.... with subspecialties. well... i guess the president does not know these things as he is old too. poor him.
